Development of Lorcaserin Challenge to Treat Impulsive Aggression, Hostile Attribution, and Negative Emotionality in Human Subjects

Description

Dr. Emil Coccaro at the University of Chicago is recruiting participants for a research studying examining how an FDAapproved drug affects aggression in adults. This study involves a series of three (3) visits. You will receive a confidential, no-cost, evaluation to see if you qualify to enter. Study procedures include: blood draws, medical/physical examination, screening interview, 2 fMRI scans of your brain, and questionnaires, and several computer tasks. Volunteers will be compensated up to $375.

Eligibility

  • Have problems with anger, temper outbursts, being irritable, getting in trouble at work or at home because of impulsive/aggressive behavior.

  • Between the ages of 21 and 55.

  • Meet other eligibility requirements as outlined by the research protocol

    Duration

    3 visits.

    Compensation

    Up to $375.00 over course of study.
